Best of 2011

 Taking a moment to look back over the past year really helps us remember and concentrate on all the good, accomplishing and validating moments. 

There are moments, memories and stories that I have with each of my posts. This year has been a learning year, a growing year and I want to thank all of YOU, my readers, for sharing the journey with me.  

The positive community we have is remarkable. 

I also want to thank all of the people in my life who help make this blog possible. 

I could not do any of this without you.

Here I am again mixing feminine pieces with masculine pieces. There must be a balance to everything. 

A balance in outfits, in food and really, in life as a whole. 

Here's to the holiday season when hopefully we all get a second to slow down and evaluate our lives to make sure we're keeping ourselves in a good balance. And if by chance we are a little out of sync, thats what new years resolutions are for!

Winter Floral

Oh baby its cold outside....

In-spite of desperately trying to get into the holiday spirit, I fell for this thirfted skirt. The skirt is the perfect bohemian balance to my loved black leather moto jacket. You can never forget black leather. And as for the pin, that is my attempt at holiday spirit!

1x3: Max lengths

Some of the best piece are the pieces that can transition from season to season. This Threadsence maxi dress is just that kind of piece. I started the summer wearing with a floppy hat and some studded sandals but as fall started coming along I threw a light knit over it. Now that its become much colder I've added a heavy knit sweater and a oversized scarf to keep the maxi dress in business. When the snow comes all that this dress with need is some wool tights, boots and a big jacket. 

Its like a recycling program but for you own closet. 

Count me in.

Double Take

When I buy shoes, or anything for that matter, I want to make sure they are as universal and as applicable as possible. The more I can wear them with, the better. With these amazing Mngt boots, it was like getting a two for one deal. Check out the two ways they can be worn. Lace them up for the super cold days and fold them down for a chic winter ready look!

Either way, I am keeping warm!

Keeping warm

Its getting so cold and all there is to do is layer up! Stacking my scarves, thick (but cute of course!) socks and heavy coats! What are your solutions for the cold and nippy weather?

City Haze

Wearing big sweaters over a quaint dress has become my go-to this winter. Remember this post? 

I really need to find some more GIGANTIC cardigan sweaters to throw over out-of-season summer dresses. I love pairing it with some winter boots and an oversized scarf. Scarves are pointless unless they are oversized.

Grey Scale

When I really think about it, majority of the clothes I own are super comfortable. Now, to be very honest, its basically the art of looking put together and chic while still feeling like Im wearing my pajamas. This outfit is a perfect case in point.

 Cheap Monday Minimalist knit sweater = Sweatshirt

Threadsence Maxi Dress = Pajama pants

Double Strap Nude flats = Slippers

Oversized Marie-Louise scarf = portable pillow

And well, I threw in the red leather satchel for good measure.
