I've started re-newing and expanding my accessory collection. Not usually one of those girls to wear much in that sense, I've started to pile on the earrings, necklaces and rings.. In the winter with all the long sleeves and sweaters, bracelets just get in the way. Except for a few things..Nava up on Thayer Street is honestly my official source for accessories! They keep things vintage inspired and usually steer clear of the "bling". AKA my kinda place! haha happy tuesday everyone! xx Marie-Louise

A couple classic i-phone shots outside the entrance..
Folu was wearing a Banana Republic blazer with an H&M skirt and 80%20% wedges.
I wore a vintage silk snake print blouse over a gina tricot dress. I threw on the vintage jacket you guys have seen so many times! and a pair of animal print h&m wedges. I love wearing clashing prints!
True to blogger form , we had to shoot the shoes!
All the way from Stockholm, the scandinavians are here to support eachother...
Just a few random shots of what I was seeing! xx Marie-Louise

This is my favorite vintage piece that Ive scored from my moms collection. Correction, its in the top three pieces. I love how with a couple alterations, it fits like a glove. Its one of those timeless pieces that I could wear during the day or for a night out. I think its made it on the blog once during the spring and I wore it to Valentines day dinner but other than that it really hasn't made it out of my closet a lot..Ill have to change that! Happy Sunday everyone!

Some may say they were saving best for last. The IVANAhelsinki was overflowing with people ready to catch a glimpse of what the Finnish designer was coming out with next. With a retro look, the pieces hinted a feeling of a time before. The collection was able to stay very current while still carrying the elements that make these pieces clearly IVANAhelsinki. Fashion is currently leaning towards more conservative and classic cuts while incorporating elements to stay present. The collection focused peacock feathers. The sense of lightness that feathers carry was married to the dresses that were soft and flowing. The print with heavy layers of feather prints, also found on the gift bags, were used on the warmer and heavier pieces such as the dresses with long sleeves and the 60's carpet overcoats. As with most designers, there is always a strong theme presented in each of IVANAhelsinki's collections. Here even the party dress, image 3, reflected the colors found at the tip of the peacock’s feathers.
I want to take a moment to thank Prijo at IVANAhelsinki for, yet again, giving me the opportunity to photograph.
